Smaller Town

What it is like being a designer in  a smaller town?

Excellent question.
I shall answer this first as a general question, and then a personal question.

It definitely does not affect your potential. If you're a good designer, you're a good designer anywhere.

The most obvious answer that comes to mind is exposure.
Bigger town, bigger exposure; whether for networking, culture and design.
So designing in a small town, it takes a little bit more effort to stay exposed.

Personally, I find designing in a small town limiting.
As my previous post states, I like new things.
A big town always has something new.
